Moscow Mule

When I'm looking to impress a crowd with my bar tending skills, my Spicy Mint Moscow Mule is my go-to cocktail every time. Served in beautiful copper mugs (these ones show off Will's & my Penn State Alma Mater!), these are a sweet, ginger beer and vodka based cocktail. It's a great option for people who are picky about the types of liquor they like, and it's a delicious option for a summer or winter affair since they are cool, but still pack a spicy punch!

Ingredients:

4 oz. Vodka

1 Oz. Fresh Squeezed Lime Juice + Lime Slices for Garnishing

12 oz. Ginger Beer (I recommend Goya Ginger Beer for MAXIMUM spiciness!)

20 Mint Leaves + Mint Sprigs for Garnishing

1 Cup Crushed Ice

Directions:

  1. Wash about 20 sprigs of mint and split them up between the 2 Mule Mugs.

  2. Split 4oz. of Chilled Vodka (I recommend Tito's) between the two mugs.

  3. Gently muddle the mint with a muddler or any other kitchen device you can find that can be used to gently distress the mint (releasing the delicious flavor!) I use this Mixology set and love it!

  4. Add 1/2 Cup of Crushed Ice to each glass and top with 1/2 a bottle of Ginger Beer Each (about 6 oz. each).

  5. Garnish with Mint Sprigs and Lime Slices.
